Award-winning olive snack OLOVES is launching in Asda later this month in its first deal with one of the UK large multiples since the brand introduced new-shaped packaging.
The Tasty Mediterranean flavour of the healthy, on-the-go snack will be stocked on hang strips in around 330 stores across the UK.
It follows the launch of OLOVES earlier this year in 291 Holland & Barrett and 98 Julian Graves stores.
Suitable for vegans and vegetarians, kosher approved, and with an 18-month shelf life, OLOVES have proved popular in travel catering and are stocked on several airlines including Virgin Atlantic, United Airlines and Thomas Cook. They have won four awards – including the equivalent of an Oscar after picking up a Mercury Award from the International Travel Catering Association (ITCA).
Now available in four flavours – Lemony Lover, Hot Chilli Mama, Tasty Mediterranean and Light Hearted Vinaigrette – each 30g liquid-free, foil-fresh pack contains 12-14 naturally tasty pitted olives.
The snacks, which are a healthy alternative to crisps and nuts, come in shelf-ready boxes of 10 and bulk boxes of 300, with the option of pre-loaded hanging strips in all four flavours, which are ideal for attracting impulse buys.
Two years ago OLOVES were given a shapely new look with a more compact sachet, which saves on space and reduces packaging.
“The new shape has been very well received in travel catering and we have now moved into the retail sector, and are delighted to have secured the contract with Asda for OLOVES,” said joint brand founder Matt Hunt.
OLOVES will be on sale at 0.79p per pack in Asda from September 23rd.
