Nottingham-based specialist baker Butt Foods has strengthened its team with two new appointments.

Helen Procter has joined the company as technical manager while Chris Collings has been appointed as new product development manager at the firm, which bakes a range of naans, flatbreads and other items for food service and other sectors.

The appointments come as Butt Foods prepares to celebrate its 30th anniversary later this year.

Managing director Dan Butt said: “Both Helen and Chris bring many years of experience to their roles and I am very pleased to welcome them to the Butt Foods team. We have some exciting plans for the business this year, including the launch of new products.

“As one of the leading speciality naan and flatbread producers in the UK, Butt Foods is committed to building on the success that has been achieved over the past 30 years.”

Helen, who has worked for a number of high profile food manufacturers, has been in the food manufacturing industry since 2009. Her role includes ensuring all processes meet legal requirements, along with food safety and customer satisfaction.

Chris has 15 years of bakery experience in a career that has been in the food sector for a total of 18 years. He has already begun developing new products for Butt Foods, which is based on Lenton Lane Industrial Estate.

Butt Foods supplies its products to food service and other customers across the UK including pubs, bars, cafés, restaurants, hotels, sandwich shops, casual dining outlets, universities and other venues.
