Clegg Construction bid manager Cian Webb has graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a BSc Hons in Construction Management.
For the past five years he has been studying the part-time degree apprenticeship, attending university once a week while maintaining his role at Clegg Construction.
Now, after recently being promoted from assistant bid manager to bid manager, he is also celebrating his graduation with a 2:1 honours degree.
Pre-construction director at Clegg Construction Ross Crowcroft said: “On behalf of the team at Clegg Construction I would like to congratulate Cian on his graduation. He has done a sterling job of working in the company’s pre-construction team while at the same time studying for his degree on a part-time basis.
“We are delighted that he has now successfully completed his studies which have helped him to develop his skills and knowledge, and also supported his career progression within Clegg Construction. I’d also like to congratulate him on his recent promotion to bid manager, which was made in recognition of his talent and to reward his dedication to the role.”
Cian’s older brother, site manager Paddy Webb, was also funded by Clegg Construction on a part-time BSc Hons in Construction Management degree as part of the company’s commitment to staff. Paddy completed his studies in 2022, having also graduated with a 2:1 honours degree.
Cian said: “I am thrilled to have graduated with a 2:1 in Construction Management from Nottingham Trent University. Studying part time has been a great way of working towards my degree, while at the same time allowing me to develop and progress my career at Clegg Construction.
“I’d like to thank the company and everyone who has supported and mentored me during my studies.”
Cian is based in Clegg Construction’s head office in the Lace Market, Nottingham.
